With Two-Faced/DoubleTalk, I observe today’s political landscape and the people who influence our country and our politics.

While we know that people in politics are not always truthful, we now have a former president who “accumulated 30,573 untruths during his presidency — averaging about 21 erroneous claims a day.”(Washington Post). Nominees to the Supreme Court said one thing to Congress, then did the opposite after confirmation. We frequently find that what is said in public and what is known to be true is not always the same.

To create these images, I find videos on television or computer screens, sample the faces of these well-known figures, then duplicate those faces and rework them. I add false color and computer glitches to represent false statements and deliberate inaccuracies.

This work is intended to remind us who we are dealing with.
